On August 8th Harvest Pointe Christian Church went to the World Pulse Festival. It was an awesome time. The featured bands were Jeremy Camp, David Crowder Band, Hawk Nelson, Ayiesha Woods, and the Robbie Seay Band. They even had a Kids Zone were the younger kids could play all day for less than $10. We had a great time and brought back some pictures for you to see.
World Pulse Festival is a unique type of concert that takes the
elements of a live, outdoor audience and mixes it with viewers and
listeners from around the world. Started in 1987 as an appreciation
concert for a local radio station, the festival has slowly evolved into
something bigger. In 1998, it was decided to start broadcasting the day
via the LeSEA Broadcasting network. In addition to a new world-wide
audience, the local radio stationed had grown and was now called Pulse
FM. Over the next few years, constant improvements and increased ticket
distribution opportunities have resulted in exponential growth in
attendance numbers, as well as, viewing audience numbers. Now, 50,000
people attend on average, and millions listen and watch from around the
globe. It is a humbling experience to be in the middle of Indiana
farmland,a and be able to reach the people around the globe with the
message of Christ through music.

60 people from Harvest Pointe Christian Church came out for Faith Day at the Great American Ball Park (GABP). We had a great time at the game even though our beloved Cincinnati Reds lost. After the game Steven Curtis Champman had a great concert. His two sons were on stage with him. One played the drums and the other played the bass and electric guitar. What a blessing. You can check out some of the pictures here .

The 2009 Clermont County Fair Parade in Owensville Ohio was a GREAT event! The Clermont County Fair Parade had a huge turn out of floats and spectators. The Harvest Pointe Christian Church Band did a fantastic job of entertaining the crowds and the float was a big hit also. Everyone loved the Pirates and the Harvest Pointe Christian Church mugs that we handed out. We hope that everyone gets some good use out of the mugs and thinks of Harvest Pointe when someone in Clermont County needs some help! A big thankyou goes out to the Stonelick Township Firefighters Association for organizing the Parade. Click to see pictures of the Clermont County Fair 2009 Parade. Below is an article about the Clermont County Fair in the Community Press.
Parade Kicks Off Clermont County Fair
"It was a great day. There were a lot of entries in the parade and it
was a good start to the week," said Bill Scharber, Clermont County

Scharber said he was surprised at the number of vendors and visitors the fair had for a Sunday.
"Usually the grounds are pretty empty by 6:30 or 7 p.m., but we had
people on the grounds until about 10 p.m. or so," Scharber said. "A lot
of our vendors aren't even open on Sunday and I would say about 70
percent of them were ... It was a great start."
The fair will be open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day through
Saturday, Aug. 1. Admission is $10, but parking and grandstand events
are free.
Between the parade and the opening ceremony for the fair, awards were presented.
